Flower arrangement accessories to transform any bouquet

While your fresh flower arrangement will surely look amazing all on its own, you cannot help but wonder how to make it even better. With the right accessories, you can really transform a bouquet into something spectacular. For those who are new to flower arranging, here are some excellent ideas to help you get started.

Proper presentation

The way your bouquet looks depends greatly on how it is presented – or dressed up if you will. You can choose a classic vase if you like. Of course, if you want something a bit different, there are some easy ways in which you can wrap up those stems to make your flower arrangement look like a million bucks.

Aqua packing:

  • Begin by preparing your flower arrangement. You will need to secure all of the stems together with some string.

  • You then need to cut two squares of cellophane and place them on top of one another so that they create a hexagonal shape.

  • Place your stems in the middle and fold the corners around them.

  • Secure the cellophane in place with some string and fluff out the edges.

  • Add a bow to cover up the string.

  • Now add some water to the cellophane so that your flowers stay hydrated.

  • You will need to keep the bouquet upright during transport so there is no spilling.

A beautiful bow

If you are not sure how to make your bows spectacular enough to really complete your flower arrangement, not to worry. Simply follow these steps.

  • Select the type of material you wish to use. You can use anything from paper or raffia to satin or organza. Make your choice based on the style and theme of the bouquet.

  • Cut the ribbon to the desired length. It’s better to have it longer than too short. You can always trim it later.

  • Fold the one end of the ribbon so that you create a loop and hold it between your forefinger and your thumb. Repeat this step to make three more loops – four in total. They should all be the same size.

  • Use binding wire to secure the midpoint of your bow.

  • Attach the bow to the arrangement by securing the wire to the string around the bouquet.

  • Fluff out your bow and you’re all set!
