The Sandringham Flower Show

The Sandringham Flower Show is possibly the most prestigious horticultural event in the east of England. The show is now in its 131st year and it has now become a lot more than an ordinary flower show. The event is very unique, it not only offers the best it horticulture but also it is a brilliant day out for the whole family and the day is packed with entertainment.

The show takes place annually and it is set is the beautiful gardens of Sandringham Park with Sandringham House and Sandringham Church as a backdrop. The show only takes place for one day each year and on average attracts a crowd of around 20,000 each year. This year’s event has beaten the records by attracting over 23,000 people. The flower show from the very beginning has been privileged to enjoy a Royal patronage and traditionally our Royal Patron attends the show.

The show features garden designers from all over the region. As well as these designers the flower show includes display gardens, a craft marquee, main arena events, children’s entertainment and a military band.

The Royal marquees contain the competitions in vegetables, fruit, flowers and floral art. All entries are grown by residents in the local area.
