Rose water and it’s interesting uses

It’s no secret that roses are one of the top flowers that you will find at any florist. So much so, that they are always available – even when they are not in season! Thanks to greenhouses and flower importing, we can all enjoy the beauty of roses throughout the year. What you may not know about roses is that they can be used to make something called rose water which has many amazing uses around the home.

Sweetener

Countries in the Middle East have been using rose water in the kitchen for years. It makes an excellent sweetener and all you need is a few drops. If you have run out of vanilla essence or you are simply looking for a change, this delicious water will do the trick.

Bathing

Rose water can be used in conjunction with other oils in your bath water. All you need to do is add a little bit of this water along with oils of your choice and enjoy! Not only will you treat your skin, but also the rest of your senses with some amazing aromatherapy. As the name suggests, this really is a wonderful form of treating yourself with the help of amazing scents.

Cosmetics

Rose oil is a stronger and more concentrated variant of rose water. It is often used in bath and body products to give it that rose scent. If you want an amazing and sweet-smelling toner for your skin, combine rose water with witch hazel. You’ll be amazed just how wonderful your skin will feel!

Great as a gift

Not only is rose water great to have around the house, but it is also a thoughtful gift. If you make your own, all you need to do is place it in a decorative bottle and perhaps add a ribbon with a label. You can include recipes for cooking, cosmetic use and other tips in a card to accompany the bottle.

You can send rose water all on its own as a gift or you can pair it with a beautiful bouquet of fresh blooms (preferably roses too). When ordering flowers, make sure that you ask your florist if they have any extras available such as luxury chocolates or champagne. This will truly help you complete your gift.
