If you want to decorate your home, or at least your dining room table this Easter, you don’t necessarily need fresh flowers. All you need is a few basic items that you may already have in your home. The best part about this Easter flower display is that it will captivate your children and bring them amazing joy.

What you need:

• Plastic eggs in various colours (the kind that you can open and reseal)
• Hot glue and glue gun (to secure a stem to each Easter flower)
• Small Easter chocolates to fill the eggs
• Artificial or paper leaves
• Wooden skewers
• Floral tape or green paint
• Vase filler

Directions:

• Start by preparing each Easter flower. You will need to open them up, fill them with candy and close them again.
• Once you are done, you can then secure the wooden skewer into place using hot glue.
• If you are using floral tape, you can apply the tape to the skewers after they are glued in place. If you don’t have tape, you can pain the skewers before gluing them in place.
• When the glue is dry, it’s time to add the leaves. You want to make long, slim leaves that are a bit longer than the length of your skewers.
• Glue two or three leaves to each ‘stem’. You should glue them in place near the bottom but they should be at slightly different heights. Allow the leaves to remain loose and relaxed apart from the point at which they are secured.
• Fill your vase between a quarter and halfway using vase filler of your choice. Make sure that it can support the stems.
• Place each Easter flower carefully into the vase and arrange the leaves perfectly.

Now you can enjoy your colourful Easter flower display and, whenever your little ones feel like a sweet treat, all you need to do is open one of the bright-coloured eggs!
