Flowers for Jubilee will be supplied by Covent Garden Academy of Flowers

The table arrangements for the Diamond Jubilee lunch at St Mark’s Academy, in Mitcham today (15th May) are being arranged by London’s floral design school.

The event which is attended by the Queen, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and the mayors of the 13 boroughs in South London mark part of the official Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Inspiration for the designs was from Merton’s Lavender Fields which inspired the students. A special bouquet has been created for the Queen using Queen Elizabeth roses and lilac, pink and white flowers to adorn the roses.
