Budget flowers are beautiful too
Many people are under the impression that the only beautiful flowers are those that cost an arm and a leg. The truth is that even cheap flowers can look absolutely amazing if they are arranged by professionals. Exotic flowers might be out of the question but there are still plenty of fantastic options from which to choose. Here are a few things to keep in mind when buying or creating cheap flower arrangements.
Budget
Firstly, you will need to know how much you can afford to spend. Not only will your budget help you choose the right type of flowers but also the number of stems. For example, if you choose flowers that are more expensive per stem, you will have to select fewer stems. On the other hand, if you choose a cheaper bloom, you can include extra stems and the bouquet will be larger.
Size
As mentioned, your budget will affect the size of the bouquet. The more expensive the flowers you choose, the smaller the bouquet will be. The cheaper they are, the more stems you can afford and the larger your flower arrangement will be. Remember, you can also create a larger bouquet by including filler flowers and foliage. These also vary in price so make sure that you check the prices and select affordable foliage that suits the flowers you have chosen.
Colours
If you have a particular colour-scheme in mind, you will need to keep this in mind when selecting your flowers. Many flowers are available in several colours and most of them are affordable too. If you don’t have any colours in mind, you can base your flower choice purely on price and availability. Some flowers are only available in one or two colours but they could be included if you choose a mixed flower bouquet.
Extras
Flower arrangements don’t consist solely of flowers. As previously mentioned, they also include foliage and you might need a vase or at least some decorative paper and ribbon. If you want to make an arrangement with floral foam, this will also need to be considered along with a plastic tray. If your budget allows, you can add a flower pick or other colourful accessories to make your bouquet truly unique.
