Repurpose vases throughout your home
The autumn season is almost at an end and now is the time to make sure that your home is in order for the holidays. It’s the perfect opportunity to get rid of anything you don’t use and get creative with every space you have available. Here’s how you can repurpose vases to keep your home neat while ensuring practicality.
On your desk
If you, like many of us out there, struggle with desk clutter, you can repurposes vases to hold various items such as pens and pencils. You will need to use smaller vases for this, since your pencils will need to be taller than the vase itself.
In your kitchen
If your kitchen drawers are cluttered and overflowing, it can make them difficult to open and close. Not to mention the fact that you will struggle to find what you are looking for. Instead, take your most-used utensils and repurpose vases to hold them! Place them in convenient spots on your kitchen worktops.
Make a terrarium
You can repurposes vases of a round shape as terrariums. The reason being is that they need to have a smaller opening than the widest part of the vase. Kind of like a fish bowl. Place potting soil, add your plants and minimal water. Remember, terrariums generally retain water which means that you won’t need to water often. Especially if you fill them with succulents or cacti.
Add a tea candle to your vase and use it to light up an area of one of your rooms or even your dinner table. You can even get creative and decorate your vase with paint if you like. The best part about this idea is the fact that you can reuse your vases over and over again. All you need is a new candle.
We all struggle when it comes to coins. We tend to collect a substantial amount over time. Instead of allowing them to end up all over your home, repurpose vases to hold all your coins. Once you have enough, you can take them to your local bank or anyone who will be willing to exchange coins for cash bills.
There you have it! Just a few handy ways in which you can repurpose vases throughout your home. Not only will they make your home look great, but they are also super practical. No longer will your vases take up space in the back of your cupboards.
