Make your own country style flower arrangement

If you are looking for something stylish yet inexpensive, you will love this country style flower arrangement. Not only is this arrangement affordable, but they are also really easy to make. Once you have made this perfect arrangement, you can present it to a loved one or enjoy in your own home.

You will need:

• A medium wicker basket with handle running over the top
• Floral foam
• Green floral tape
• Plastic container to hold the floral foam
• White hydrangeas
• Pink roses (like and dark varieties)
• Green hypericum
• Filler flowers like sedum
• Moss
• Ribbon

Method:

• Place the plastic container inside the basket.
• Trim the floral foam if necessary and soak in water before placing inside the plastic container.
• Use floral tape to secure the foam in place.
• Trim the stems of your hydrangeas and remove leaves. Insert these stems around the base of the arrangement. Since these are large clusters of flowers, you will only need to place one hydrangea stem in one corner and then another in the opposite corner.
• Now place a cluster of light pink roses in one of the empty corners and another cluster in the opposite empty corner.
• Trim some green hypericum and add a few stems to fill in open spaces.
• Fill further using a dense yet small flower like sedum.
• Now add a few hot pink roses in between to add contrast and really highlight various aspects of the design.
• Take one last look at your arrangement and, if you notice any empty spaces, you can fill with more flowers and hypericum as needed. When you can no longer see any floral foam, then you know you are done! Remember, don’t squeeze the flowers too close to one another. You should leave some space so that they can open up without getting bruised.
• Finish off with some moss around the edge to conceal the lower part of the foam and it adds to the country theme.
• Tie a bow around the side of the handle and enjoy!
