Is your home too small for plants?

If you live in a small home, you might think that your decorating options are limited. The truth is that they are only as limited as you make them. There are so many ways of welcoming nature inside and the size of your home does not mean that you have to sacrifice such lovely décor.

The first thing you need to consider is the space you do have available on tables, windowsills, and similar spaces. The size of these spaces will help you choose the right size plants. The smaller the space, the smaller the plant. Make sure that you choose plants that will not outgrow the table or windowsill.

Next, you will need to consider the light in each room. Different potted plants have different needs when it comes to light and you must choose the plants that will enjoy their new home. If they receive less or more light than they need, they will not survive.

If you don’t have much space at all, think outside the box a little. Consider hanging plants or add living walls for a gorgeous splash of life in your very own living room, bathroom, kitchen, or wherever you choose. Hanging plants can also be placed in any room and the flowering plants that enjoy these environments add amazing colour.

Cacti and succulents are lovely options if you want plants that grow at a slower rate and don’t require too much care. If you enjoy pampering your plants, then you could enjoy growing your very own Bonsai. Remember that some types of plants have a short lifespan while others live and bloom year after year.
