Flower vase uses you never thought of

If you have a damaged flower vase that you are considering throwing away, don’t discard it just yet. There are some amazing uses for vases that do not require it to be perfect or even hold water. Whether the damage is purely cosmetic or your vase can no longer hold water, here are some interesting uses.

Silk arrangements

If you are no longer able to fill your flower vase with water, you can still use it to hold artificial flowers. These blooms don’t need water, after all. So, you can trust a damaged vase to hold these blooms. Remember, if there is any visible damage, you can always display the arrangement in a corner with the damaged part facing the corner or wall so that it will not be noticeable.

Decorative filler

You do not always need to use a flower vase to hold flowers. You can get creative by filling it with decorative items like gems, colourful stones, marbles or even with fairy lights. Another option is to use your vase to hold sweet treats. Just make sure that they are individually wrapped so that they do not get dusty.

Conceal damage

If your flower vase is chipped but can still hold water, you can use it to hold fresh blooms. All you need to do is hide the damage. You can do this in many different ways. One way is to cover the exterior of the vase with wrapping paper or fabric and a ribbon. If you are feeling extra creative, you can use decoupage to cover the exterior with beautiful pictures or you could personalise it with family photos.

These are a few great flower vase uses that you may not have thought of before. Even if you don’t have the time for a decoupage design right away, you can always set the damaged vase aside until you have the time to transform its appearance.
