Damaged flower vase uses

It can be very disappointing when you have a beautiful vase that ends up damaged. No matter how beautiful or sentimental it is, you may not be able to use it like you used to. Before you throw your damaged flower vase away, though, think about these great ways to use it in your home.

Silk blooms

If your damaged flower vase no longer holds water, you can still use it to display artificial flowers. In fact, when you display silk flowers in your home, you will be able to enjoy them much longer! Remember, quality silk flowers last a long time and you may also want to invest in a few bouquets to suit each season. When you’re not using them, store your silk flowers properly so they look like new the next time you display them.

Decorative display piece

Instead of using the vase to display pretty flowers, you can use it to create a beautiful sand display. Consider filling the damaged flower vase with anything you like, such as beads, gemstones, or anything you think fits with your home decor. If you wish, you can change the pot fillers depending on the season. For example, in winter, you could add pine cones, some dried red berries, and maybe a sprinkling of desiccated coconut to make it look like snow. During the summer, you may prefer something brighter looking to capture the vibrant nature of this time of year.

Cover the chips

A chipped vase can still hold flowers as long as you place the chipped side at the back where no one will notice. Alternatively, if you don’t mind changing the look of the damaged flower vase, you can cover any flaws with decoupage. In fact, a decoupage vase can be quite personal if you select special photographs of your loved ones. Your favourite vase might have another quality that makes you love it even more!

Even if you can’t think of the best way to continue using a damaged flower vase, the best solution is to set it aside for now. Don’t throw it away or you might end up with a great idea a few days later!
