Use accessories as vases

Vases come in all shapes and sizes. You will find vases made from glass, ceramic, and even metal. Each one of these options suits a different style and theme. For example, a metalic vase will look great in a modern setting while a beautifully decorated ceramic vase would suit a pastel coloured bouquet in a Victorian style room. What some people don’t realise is that you can use just about anything as a vase! You just need to get a bit creative.

If you have an old shoe or pair of heels that you’re not planning on wearing again, you can use them to hold flowers! You will need to clean them up a little, of course. You could even spray paint them another colour if you want them to suit a certain colour scheme or theme. Line the inside of the shoe with plastic or plastic wrap before placing some floral foam inside. Remember to soak your floral foam in water before inserting it! Add your flowers one by one and create a memorable display!

Similarly, you can use an old purse or handbag to hold flowers. Line the bag with a plastic container, insert your soaked floral foam and start arranging your flowers. Again, if need be, you can alter the appearance of your bag by spraypainting it.

Another great idea is a hat. You can use hats in many ways. You could set it upside down or leave it upright and cut the top off or poke holes in the hat for your flowers. Either way, you will need some kind of plastic container and floral foam to hold everything in place. If need be, use a glue gun and hot glue to hold your plastic container in place.

Once your flower arrangements are all in place, you can go on to line your table with other accessories like stylish scarves, perhaps some dress jewellery and hair accessories. Invite your guests to take one or two pieces home when they leave. This will prove to be a memorable keepsake!
