Flower painting fun

Painted flowers are not only fun to make but this produces some amazing and beautiful results. While you will need some specific supplies, this process is fairly easy and, once you try it, you’ll be hooked!
You will need:

• White flowers (roses are an excellent choice)
• Stem dye for flowers in the colours of your choice
• Plastic cups (one for each colour of dye)
• A sharp knife
• One large container for holding your cups of dye

Method:

• The flowers you use should be partially opened but not completely open yet.
• Remove all the leaves before you start colouring your flowers.
• Now you need to mix your flower dye as per the directions.
• If you want to dye your flowers a single colour, you can simply trim the stems and place them in the dye mixture of your choice.
• If you wish to make multicolour flowers, you can carefully split the stems using your knife. If this is the case, you will need to place each of the stem sections in a different cup of dye. Bundle the three cups together inside a larger container that will hold them in place.
• Keep your flowers in the dye for 30 to 60 minutes.
• Remove the stems from the dye, rinse them off and place your flowers in a vase of clean water.
• Leave the flowers to hydrate for the next 24 hours.
• Your flowers will now be ready to enjoy!
