Forest Terrarium Care

Forest-like plants that are grown in terrariums require specific conditions. In terms of light, they enjoy plenty of light but make sure that it is indirect light. They should not be placed in direct sunlight or the glass will ‘cook’ the plants. Open terrariums can be watered once a week or once every two weeks. Depending on the season and climate. Water your succulents with care. A light mist every week will often prove sufficient. You can check the soil to see whether or not it is drying out. The hotter the weather, the more frequent you should water. If the leaves start to shrivel, you need to water more.

Succulents and cacti do not grow quite as quickly as many other plants. This means that they will enjoy their terrarium home for a very long time. You will not need to re-pot them anytime soon.
