Decorate your coffee table this spring

Since you will most likely entertain most of your guests in the comfort of your living room, it’s important to make sure that your home is as warm and welcoming as possible. Your coffee table is normally one of the first things that your guests will observe in this room which is all the more reason to make sure that it looks its best!

Bright and colourful

If you are looking for a bright bouquet that will impress your guests and grab their attention, then you should opt for some bright pink lilies. Stargazer lilies are an impressive sight to behold and they have a lovely scent too. Accompany your vase with a few decorative candles and you have a fabulous centrepiece. Place all of these items on a contrasting tray for some extra flare.

Soothing sea

If you love the ocean and you have some stylish ocean-themed decorative items that you’d like to display, then you will love this theme. Arrange some warm-coloured blooms like germinis or gerbera daisies along with some rich green foliage in a clear glass vase. Place a large seashell beside the vase and, depending on the size of your table, you could even add some decorative candles, a bowl of smaller seashells and even a decorative piece of driftwood.

Modern twist

Geometric shapes and designs are great for giving your home that modern style. Add abstract decorative items to the table to create this effect. Keep all of the decorative items neutral in colour except for your flowers. You want them to be bright so that they stand out. Even the vase in which your flowers are arranged should be clear glass so that it blends in with its surroundings and allows your flowers to truly shine. You can also add a small succulent or terrarium to this table provided the conditions are suitable for a potted plant.

Country style

If you prefer something a bit more rustic, you can opt for a woven tray to hold things like books. Place some bright yellow sunflowers in a vase and display on the other side of your coffee table. Set out some wooden or cork coasters for that final touch.

Whether you prefer bold colours or something a bit more subtle, you can really express yourself when decorating your home with flowers. Fresh flowers allow you amazing flexibility in terms of décor and design.
