Cheer somebody up with fresh flowers

When one of your dear friends is faced with a difficult emotional situation like a break up, they are going to need all the support they can get. No matter how long you are together, the split can be extremely painful and difficult to deal with. It’s up to friends and loved ones to help in these situations and there are a number of great ways to do so.

Firstly, brighten up their day with a fresh flower delivery. The fresh flowers will give them a reason to smile and fill the room with some much needed colour and joy. Just make sure that you avoid anything that could remind them of their ex. So, for example, if their ex would usually send them lilies, you might want to opt for a mixed bouquet or a bunch of gerberas instead. Yellow roses are an excellent choice too since they represent friendship.

Once you have found the perfect flowers, you can also ask your florist about including some luxury chocolates. There’s nothing like a sweet treat to bring comfort and chocolate is oftten our best friend when we aren’t feeling happy. Together with the flowers, you will give your friend a nice push in the right direction.

The flowers can be delivered directly to your friend or you could make the delivery yourself. The latter is often better so that you can spend some time with them and help improve their mood. If their home is a mess, help them clean up. A clean environment will have a wonderful positive effect on their mood. Similarly, if your friend has not been taking care of themselves, you can help by doing their hair, picking an outfit from their closet and encouraging them to get out the house.

Sitting at home feeling sorry for yourself will never help you move on. This is why it’s so important for you to help them get out. Even if it’s just for a couple of hours and you only go out for a cup of coffee or slice of cake. Encourage your friend to eat as well. Many people struggle to eat when upset but it’s important to provide your body with the fuel it needs in order to maintain energy levels and stay healthy.

Finally, remember to check in with your friend regularly and make sure that they are doing alright. They will need your continued support to get through this difficult time but they will make it through with your love and help.
