0

A football field at Heron Hill Primary School has been turned into an Olympic flower garden. With giant wooden rings measuring almost 2 meters in diameter will hold more than 300 hundred colourful flowers.

It is hoped that the flowers will receive some good weather ready in time for when the Olympic torch will pass on June 22.

Peter Hicks, the head teacher at the Primary School, said this is just one of the special events that will be taking place ready in time for the Olympics, although our Olympic flower garden will be the main attraction. Electric company, Electricity North West, provided the school children with the wood to help build the Olympic flower garden.
