Welcome a guest with flowers

If you are expecting a guest and you are planning on hosting them for a weekend, a week, or longer, you want to make their stay as pleasant as possible. You also want to create the perfect impression when you welcome them to their room. This is where fresh flowers will come to your rescue!

Start by ordering a bunch of fresh flowers for their room and make sure that the flowers you order either have heavy pollen or have the pollen removed if possible. You might not be aware of your guest’s allergies so it’s best to play it safe. Set the bouquet somewhere in the room where it will look great without getting in the way. On the dresser would be better than on the bedside table for example.

Once you have the flowers taken care of, you can move on to a bottle of bubbly and perhaps some chocolates too. In many cases, you can order both of these as optional extras along with your flower delivery. Set the bubbly and chocolates on the bedside table. If you like, you could chill the bubbly in an ice bucket so that it’s ready to enjoy as soon as your guest has settled and freshened up.

Remember to make the rest of your home warm and welcoming by adding flowers and plants to other areas of your home. Remember to use different types of flowers for different rooms so that the one in your guest’s room remains special. Potted plants like succulents require minimal care and they are small so you can add them to your bathroom, living room, kitchen, and any small spots that could use some colour.

If you know that your guest has severe flower allergies, then you should order silk flowers instead. Avoid using fresh flowers to decorate your home and stick to the artificial varieties or non-flowering potted plants instead.
