Special ways to spoil your cousin

When we think about sending gifts and flowers to loved ones, we usually think of our partners, spouses, parents, siblings, and closest friends. However, have you ever stopped to think about ways show your cousins how much you care? Although you may not see them as often as you do your siblings, your cousins are like the extra brothers and sisters you never had! They make life more fun and can certainly help you get into extra trouble! But those memories are often the sweetest and it’s a great idea to maintain your relationship with your closest cousins by sending them the occasional gift.

Fresh flowers are the kind of gift that everyone will appreciate so you know that you can’t go wrong here! Of course, you do want to take care when choosing the type of flowers and the colour of the !bouquet. Red roses, for example, would not be your best bet since they send a romantic message. Instead, you should look for something along the lines of yellow flowers, perhaps a yellow and white bouquet, or even a mixed bunch with various flowers and colours.

Once you have your bouquet selected, you can then choose an extra gift if you like. Chocolates, a bottle of wine, or even a stuffed animal will certainly make an even greater impression! Consider what you think your cousin will like the most.

If you have several cousins and you want to include everyone but you are a bit strapped for cash, you need not buy everyone a bouquet. Instead, you could plan a special lunch or dinner at your place. Set up your home and decorate with fun in mind. A bright yellow and white theme is great since yellow roses represent friendship. What greater friends than your loving cousins?

Order a few bouquets of flowers to decorate the table or tables and choose an easy menu that everyone will love. Usually a delicious roast with all the trimmings will give your cousins plenty from which to choose. Cook at least two or three types of meat and a variety of veggies too. If there are any leftovers, you could always send each cousin home with some extra food for them to enjoy later or the following day.

Don’t forget to share the flowers too! Take plenty of photos, share on social media and, you never know, you could have started an annual event! Each cousin can take turns playing host and this ensures that you never lose touch for too long.
