The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is our second favourite flower show after the flower show Godmother of them all; the Royal Chelsea Flower Show. So what is so special about this floral event?

Well, the fact that it is held at one of Britain’s most beautiful palaces, that boasts an array of interesting gardens in its own right, including the Privy garden, Fountain court and many sunken gardens, it is also one of the most popular flower shows in the UK.

We are very excited about this year’s central feature, which focuses on community gardening, highlighting how gardening can bring people together and improve communal spaces. With so much communal land being left baron or covered in plain grass this is set to be an exciting feature that we hope will inspire us all into creating a more beautiful and improved shared outdoor space.

Also at this year’s festival are the new ‘LowCost/High Impact’ gardens. These gardens show what can be achieved with a small but realistic budget on varying sized plots. It seems that this year’s flavour is all about improving our own areas, both private and shared, which could not more welcomed by ourselves and many of our friends.

This year also sees the new show garden category; ‘World of Gardens’. This is set to be a popular area with visitors, alongside the regular show and conceptual gardens.

Last but not least the Floral Marquee and Plant Village will be bursting with the UK’s leading plant nurseries and experts so get down and see what they have been up to, get chatting to them and ask them for their tips and tricks! We will look forward to being at the show and hopefully seeing some you there!
