Gorgeous DIY winter centrepieces

Just because it’s winter does not mean that you have to endure dull surroundings. There are a number of stunning centrepiece design ideas that will make your home look amazing and your guests will notice too! Here are a few ideas that dont’ call for a huge financial investment.

Branches can be used to create an amazing display. You won’t even need any flowers for this one! Simply place a few branches in a cylindrical, clear glass vase and use pine cones as vase fillers. Not only will they add to the design but they will also help hold the branches in place. You can use candles to light up the arrangement. Simply place a few candles (LED candles if you prefer) around the vase. Hang glass or plastic icicles from the branches for that winter theme. Another option is to skip the candles and icicles and use fairy lights instead.

Another option is to opt for white or off-white flowers (like roses) and arrange them in a clear glass vase. Decorate the vase with a band of glitter or glitter stripes and, if you like, you can add some gold ruscus too.

During this time of year, white flowers are a favourite since they represent the white and fluffy snow that we associate with this time of year. If you look around outside, you are bound to see icicles form here and there. You can represent these ice elements by adding glass or plastic accessories to your bouquet. Some can be inserted in the bouquet and others can be hung over the side of the vase. You could even add them to the vase as vase fillers if you like.

Remember that a centrepiece is not always about a single flower arrangement in the middle of the table. Tablescapes are also incredibly popular and very easy to create. You can use several small or bud arrangements using different kinds of white flowers. Scatter fake snow around the base of each arrangement and add crystal-like decorations in between too. Use candles or fairy lights for lighting and you’re all set!
