Flowers and plants to bring summer into your office

Summer is here and now is the time to make the most of your office space. Just because you have to work on a beautiful day does not mean that you can’t turn your work space into your very own oasis. All you need to do is invest in the right flowers and plants. Here are some great ideas that will make all the difference.

Low maintenance plants

The last thing you want is to spend too much time tending to your office flowers and plants. This is why low maintenance potted plants are so great. Some examples include cacti, succulents and orchids. While some might believe that orchids are difficult to care for, this is not actually the case. All they need is enough humidity, correct watering practices and plenty of indirect light. When choosing a plant, remember to take account of the amount of space you have available. Cacti and succulents grow particularly slowly so, if you don’t have much space, they are perfect.

Beautiful fresh flowers

If you want a splash of colour, flowers and plants can both do just that. Just like a potted plant, the size of your fresh bouquet will depend on how much space you have available. You can add colour with a single stem or a small bouquet that consists of three, five or seven stems. While sunflowers are excellent for larger spaces, you might want to opt for something like roses if you don’t have space for a large vase.

Silk options

When choosing flowers and plants for your office, you don’t have to choose fresh. There are a number of amazing silk flowers and artificial potted plants available at your favourite florist. Remember, when buying silk displays, it’s worth paying a bit more. Quality silk flowers will last much longer and they look that much more realistic.

Apart from ordering flowers and plants, you can also make some changes like letting more natural light into your office and changing the wallpaper on your computer. If you have a particular favourite floral scent, you could use some essential oils around your desk to create a positive environment.
