Appreciation for long-term employees

While some staff members may come and go, others stay by your side year after year. It’s these employees that become the cornerstones of your business. Not only do you know that you can depend on them, but your clients also get used to dealing with them on a regular basis. It’s important to appreciate all of you employees but it’s even more important to show long-term employees some extra appreciation.

When you take a look through your employee records, you should be able to make a list of each date of employment. Keeping track of these dates will help you remember who has been with you the longest and when they joined the company. Set reminders on your calendar so that you don’t forget about these special dates and make sure that you show them how much you value their dedication and loyalty.

Fresh flowers are a great way of saying thank you. Even if you are extremely busy, you can always order flowers. With online florists, flower shopping just got a whole lot easier and you can browse, choose, and pay in a matter of minutes! There’s no need to even leave your office!

When you place your flower order online, you can also select something to go with it. Perhaps an elegant vase, chocolates, a cute stuffed animal, a balloon, or even a bottle of bubbly to kick off the celebrations.

Whatever you do, don’t forget to complete a very special and personal message for the recipient. You want them to read it and know that you took the time to think only of them when writing those sincere words.

For large companies, it can be tough to celebrate every employee’s anniversary. So, if this is the case, set a few milestones. For example, you could celebrate every 5 years. You might even like to add a gift hamper once the employee reaches the 10 or 15-year mark. It all depends on your budget and how much you value that employee. Remember, it’s gestures like this that keep your employees happy, loyal, and they encourage new staff members to do the same.
